Vladimir Lenin and the other members of the Bolshevik party had a grand vision for Russia and sought to create a society were all men and women were equal. In order to spread their beliefs, they published the underground Pravda newspaper from 1912 until the October 1917 revolution. Then, the newspaper became the official paper of the Communist Party and remained so until 1991.
